Working a guitar groove late one night at home in Austin, TX, the words to Love That Never Was came to Ray Bonneville. Ray often writes about people and places evoked through working on grooves and melodies. He uses fictional characters and scenes to tell personal stories about human experience. This story is like a scene from a film. It's about loss and longing and fleeting, momentary connection.
